The seventieth anniversary of the death of Metropolitan Anthony (1936) was marked by an international conference held at Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary in Jordanville in 2006. Now the proceedings of this unique conference are published by Foundation of Russian History and available to readers in Russian and English. Here are just some of names the participating ROCOR representatives and the themes covered by them: Metropolitan Laurus (Metropolitan Anthony legacy), Archbishop Michael of Geneva and Western Europe (on Dostoevsky), Fr. Nikolai Artemov (soteriolgy) , Dr. Nadieszda Kizenko (“Jewish question”), Deacon Andrei Psarev (Anglicans). Hot topics were raised by the Russian scholars: Dr. Sergei Firsov (Metropolitan Anthony as a polemicist), Dr. Mikhail Shkarovskii (ecclesiastical and political activities ), Dr. Anton Kashevarov (Patriarch Tikhon and Metropolitan Anthony), Dr. Andrei Kostriukov (the rights of Met. Antonii in the Russian ecclesiastical diaspora).
