Marina V. Ledkovsky, Berlin 1924-1944

The church life of Russian immigrants in Berlin in the 1930s and the first half of the 1940’s is almost unknown in comparison with the life of the Russian Orthodox people in Belgrade and Paris. The video-recorded memories of Marina V. Ledkovsky (in Russian) have historical value, as they gives us an inside look at everyday life in Nazi Germany. Dr. Ledkovsky miraculously has managed to carry through all of her years the spirit of joie de vivre. Despite her age, it seems that she is still a rapturous Berlin girl.
