ROCOR-STUDIES
Dear reader,

I am delighted to share an essay by Protorpesbyter Grigorii Lomako (d. 1959), an alumnus of St. Peterburg Theological Academy, who left a valuable eye-witness account about the foundation of the Russian Church Abroad. This essay complements a multi-party conversation (1948-1950) about the best form of administrative organization in diaspora featured in the Canon Law section of this website.

With donations from the two esteemed clergymen among you on this mailing list and pledges from two others and a ROCOR hierarch, I am making substantial progress to move closer to the objective of $2500. Support ROCOR history at paypal.me/rocorstudies

The Ecclesiastcial-Canonical Situation of the Russian Diaspora

The canonical position of the Russian Church Abroad is unprecedented; therefore, attempts to find answers in the letter of the canons are doomed to failure.
The Ecclesiastcial-Canonical Situation of the Russian Diaspora

Церковно-каноническое положение Русского Рассеяния

Каноническое положение Русской Зарубежной Церкви беспрецедентно поэтому попытки найти ответы в букве канонов обречены на неудачу.
