ROCOR-STUDIES

Dear reader,

Greetings on the feast of the Entrance into the Temple of the Mother of God!

One of ROCOR Studies' raisons d'être is to promote the value of academic history. To study history is to reconstruct the mosaic of the past using evidence from all the reliable sources one has hand. A historian's work is thus akin to that of a craftsman. No human being can guarantee that his or her interpretation of the "voices" or "pictures" of the past is 100% correct. Only God is all-comprehending. However, we must understand how the methodology of academic history differs from our local, often anecdotal interpretations of events. With this in mind, we are continuing the conversation about Metropolitan Antonii (Khrpavoistkii).

Since many deserving charities demanded your attention during the Giving Tuesday campaign, we did not solicit any donations then. However, I would like to mention here that our Patreon channel has been growing steadily and a monthly subscription to it, beginning at $5.00, means that we can rely on your regular support.

Thank you for your continuing interest,

Metropolitan Antonii (Khrapovitskii) and the "Jewish Question"

The paper helps us better understand certain radically conservative views at various times in particular circles within the Russian Church Abroad. Underpinned in part by anti-Semitic ideas, these sought to find a facile explanation of the Russian Revolution in alleged conspiracies rather than social factors and historical reality.
Metropolitan Antonii (Khrapovitskii) and the "Jewish Question"
